US Markets Open to Argentinian Eggs
ARGENTINA - The US has opened its market to imports of fresh shell eggs from Argentina.Officials of Argentina's National Health and Food Quality Service (Senasa) received a communication from the US animal health service (USDA-APHIS) on 16 October, notifying them of the adoption of a health certificate for egg imports.
Senasa said the opening of this new market for fresh eggs produced in Argentina, among other things, is based on the excellent animal health of the country, as Argentina is recognised internationally as free of avian influenza and Newcastle disease.
Argentina exported 1832 tons of fresh eggs and derivatives so far in 2015.
