Jan Henriksen, Aviagen CEO, led a team of senior delegates to visit Almarai, the largest integrated dairy foods company in the world, to hold discussions on how to further strengthen the successful relationship and investigate more opportunities to work together to meet the growing local demand for chicken meat for the benefit of the population in Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries.

Jan said: “Our relationship with Almarai is a hugely important one to us. We share the same values, vision and business objectives. Almarai, like us, is committed to growing through quality, service and innovation.”

“This meeting was an ideal opportunity for senior teams on both sides to discuss how we can both benefit in the years ahead by working in collaboration to best serve the Arab world and beyond.”

Almarai employs over 35,000 members of staff servicing some 50,000 retail outlets and in 2009 added poultry products to its portfolio through the acquisition of the Hail Agricultural Development Company (HADCO).
