Three More Bird Flu Outbreaks in Nigeria

NIGERIA - Nigeria has reported three new outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Three farms were affected in Edo, Lagos and Kaduna provinces.

Over 3500 birds died in the outbreaks, and 8870 birds were destroyed to try and prevent the disease from spreading.

Cockerels, broilers, turkeys and layers were all affected in the outbreaks.
