Another Bird Flu Outbreak Hits Viet Nam

VIET NAM - Over forty thousand birds have died in the latest outbreak of bird flu to hit Viet Nam.

1900 poultry died from the disease, and another 40,100 birds were destroyed to prevent the disease from spreading.

The report from the Vietnamese authorities describes the affected operation as a backyard holding, in Vung Tau province.

The outbreak was of the H5N1 serotype.
