Ghanaians Decry Low Investment in Poultry Sector
GHANA - Napoleon A. Oduro, Vice Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers, has made a passionate appeal to government for more financial incentives for growth in the sector.According to him, investment in the poultry industry for decades has been neglegible, a situation he said has brought about an increase in the cost of production in the sector, the online news outlet GhanaWeb has reported.
He made the comments at a stakeholders meeting, and suggested the government provide more support to ensure Ghanaians eat local poultry instead of imported products.
