The transaction is currently awaiting clearance by the competition regulator. The PAL-Bullermann group from Markhausen near Friesoythe in Germany is one of the leading suppliers of poultry and pig equipment in Northern Europe and has approximately 80 employees.

“PAL-Bullermann enjoys a very good reputation, especially among turkey producers. Furthermore, the exhaust air treatment systems from Markhausen provide a perfect complement to our own concepts and are an ideal addition to the products of the Dutch exhaust air treatment specialist Inno+ we recently took over. This take-over will allow us to further strengthen our market position in our core business: equipment for modern pig and poultry production,” stated Bernd Meerpohl, Chairman of the Big Dutchman Board of Management, with regard to the transaction.

“Thanks to this combination of technical knowledge, farmers can expect innovative solutions that will increase their competitiveness and improve animal welfare and environmental protection at the same time.”

Service and logistics will be a focus of the cooperation, in addition to joint research and development projects.

“Excellent customer service will become even more important in future. I feel certain that the extensive experience of PAL-Bullermann regarding heating, water and electrical installation, joined by the worldwide service and logistics know-how of Big Dutchman, will allow us to raise the bar in this area,” Siegbert Bullermann explained the future goals.

Bullermann will remain responsible for the PAL Bullermann group as managing director.
