The articles are sourced from the papers of respected journals and the presentations given at relevant international conferences. Already the library holds well over 1,000 such articles.

The aim of the library is to provide a topical global reference source that can be accessed by poultry veterinarians, veterinary students and anyone with a serious interest in poultry health or diseases.

The material contained in the digital library will be just as useful to the veterinarians serving the evolving poultry industries of Asia and Africa as it will be to those in established ones in America and Europe.

“We see this WVPA Digital Library as part of our stated goal of encouraging the exchange of technical information between our members and a really useful way to get information transfer from academia, research and industry to poultry veterinarians in the field around the world who will hopefully see this library as a useful tool in their daily work”, says WVPA’s president Nigel Horrox who went on to add –

“WVPA also sees it as a strengthening of the links between our members in research, academia and industry and those who work in the front line in the field”.

Sylvain Comte, Poultry Franchise Director at Ceva says– “Ceva, as a leader in poultry animal health, wishes to ensure that every single veterinarian, vet student, researcher or poultry scientist has an easy access to a wide range of scientific and technical data. It is our duty and commitment to facilitate professional education for the poultry industry allowing them to succeed in the coming challenging decades.”

The WVPA Digital Library, which is officially supported by Ceva, was formally launched at IPPE in Atlanta and can be accessed at www.wvpa.net.
