Pascal started his career at Petersime in 1986 in the electronics department. Soon his talent as software developer was discovered and he moved to the R&D department. He played a major role in the development of different generations of controllers that are still used today by hatchery managers worldwide: the Vision, Focus and Iris controller. He was also the architect of the revolutionary VisionLink system, launched in 1994, the first system linking incubators to each other via a network solution. Many customers, from Hungary to the Middle East to Australia, will remember how he helped them with the installation of this system.

He further expanded the possibilities of this system in the FocusLink system (2000) and later in the IrisLink system (2010). This work formed the basis for the creation of Eagle Eye™, the first integrated hatchery control system, combining information from the incubators as well as the room conditions throughout the hatchery (2012).

After his significant contribution to the launch of the AirStreamer™ incubator range, Pascal became Petersime’s R&D Manager in 2005. Under his leadership, the R&D team conceived the BioStreamer™ incubator range which is until today the most successful incubator range in the world.

Paul Degraeve, Managing Director of Petersime, cooperated closely with Pascal for many years. “Pascal has been a key factor in the growth of our company for nearly three decades. He possessed an unmatched level of technical expertise, analytical skills and sense of detail. The way in which Pascal succeeded in combining humour and natural charm with his professionalism and dedication was truly unique. He will be missed in so many ways. Our thoughts and sympathy are with Pascal’s family.”
