Odisha Govt Orders Probe Into Sale of Plastic Eggs

INDIA - The Odisha government has asked Food Safety Commission officials to probe the alleged sale of plastic eggs in the markets of the state capital, Bhubaneswar.

"We have asked the Commissioner of Food Safety to collect samples of the alleged plastic eggs and get those tested in the laboratory," Odisha Health and Family Welfare minister P K Amat told reporters.

He said the government has taken note of media reports on the alleged sale of plastic eggs in the market. The Food Safety Commissioner will check the truth behind such reports, according to DNA India.

"Orders have been issued to immediately conduct a probe after collecting samples," Mr Amat said.
