This is due to the possible presence of foreign material – clear, flexible plastic – in the breaded chicken patty. No reports of illness or injury have been associated with this product. No other Foster Farms products are involved.

This recall is limited to Foster Farms Frozen Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat sold in 5-pound re-sealable club-size bags and distributed to some Costco depots in Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah and Washington. In total 3,297 cases were distributed. No other retailers are involved.

The Frozen Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat subject to recall lists the following plant code and date on the front of the package: 5-lb re-sealable retail bags listing plant code P-33901 and “Best By” date of 2-15-18

Consumers who have purchased the recalled chicken patties should not consume them. Recalled products should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Foster Farms discovered this issue through consumer product feedback. The company isolated the issue to one specific production line on one production date at the Farmerville facility. Procedures were promptly reviewed with employees to prevent reoccurrence.
