The Independent published footage last night (18 March) of laying hens at Walston Poultry Farm. The footage was captured by Animal Equality and the report states that the farm has breached animal welfare laws owing to the stocking density within the cages.

The farm supplies eggs to brands such as Big & Fresh, who supplies Tesco and Asda, and Noble Foods who "has launched an internal investigation and audit." The footage shows that in four days the hens were only checked once.
