By: The US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) is hosting an education programme, Wastewater Treatment Challenges for the Poultry and Egg Industry, which will examine some of the challenges involved in wastewater treatment. The programme will be held at the 2019 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta on Wednesday, 13 February, and it is free for all registered IPPE attendees.
Topics to be discussed include: Food Safety Regulations and Intervention Practices; Antimicrobials: What Are They and How Are They Used; Fate and Transport of Peracetic Acid in Wastewater Treatment Unit Operations; and Carryover of Antimicrobial Compounds into Wastewater Treatment Plants.
IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed and meat industry trade show, will be held 12-14 February 2019. IPPE is a collaboration of three trade shows - the International Feed Expo, International Meat Expo and International Poultry Expo - representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The event is sponsored by USPOULTRY, the American Feed Industry Association and the North American Meat Institute.
