Ukraine boosts exports of eggs in shell in 2018

UKRAINE - Ukrainian producers in 2018 boosted exports of eggs in shell by 21.3 percent, to almost 107,500 tonnes, while shell egg exports in monetary terms increased by 37.1 percent, to US$94.1 million

Imports of eggs in shell in 2018 decreased by 40 percent in physical terms and by 32 percent in monetary terms, to 3,400 tonnes and US$13.1 million, respectively, according to customs statistics, published by Ukraine's State Fiscal Service (SFS).

At the same time, exports of eggs not in shell in 2018 increased 2.2 times as compared with 2017, to 7,800 tonnes. Exports of such produce in monetary terms grew by 2.5 times, to US$25.3 million.
