Poultry firms warned to prepare for no-deal Brexit
UK - Poultry companies have been told they must have a plan for disposal of waste that could face export restrictions in the event of a no-deal Brexit

By: About 270,000 tonnes of poultry litter are produced in Norther Ireland every year, reported the BBC.
Under a no-deal Brexit, however, untreated poultry litter will not be able to be exported, but nor could it be spread over arable land as fertilizer due to the potential for water contamination.
The BBC report stated that Moy Park has "contingency measures" in place should such a scenario arise, but did not speak to the details of these measures.
