Evonik is promoting its holistic approach to livestock management at this year’s VIV Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, from 13 to 15 March.

Johann Fickler, Animal Nutrition’s Vice President Know-how, Services & Digitalization, explains: “Managing livestock is getting more complex and traditional approaches are no longer sufficient. Technological developments now allow producers to use sensors and software to help them better understand the condition of their flocks, helping increase the performance or improve uniformity.

“Precision Livestock Farming is about going beyond just gathering data. It combines science-based know-how with proven amino services, and innovative nutritional and health concepts, all embedded into specific digital solutions. This holistic approach means growers can better understand and optimise the status of their animals and take appropriate action, including early preventative measures.

“The result is improved livestock production performance, increased uniformity, higher efficiency, and ultimately better margins for the grower. The even better news is that the approach is easily scalable and so it suits processes within the entire livestock production. This truly is a digital journey worth taking.”

Delegates at VIV Asia are invited to attend a technical session on ‘Introduction to Evonik Precision Livestock Farming’ to discover the latest information about this topic on Wednesday 13 March at 14:30 in Room 212. To guarantee a place, delegates should register online.

Attendees at VIV Asia can also meet the Evonik Animal Nutrition team at booth H102-2350 where they can learn about how the feed additive specialist company is ‘Sciencing the global food challenge’ through the development of a range of products and services.

This includes PROXYMet – a MetAMINO® based product which achieves the same bioefficacy as MHA-FA – and which has had many successful trials in India and Asia South. There are also services such as AMINONIR® – which assists with specific calibrations for the prediction of crude protein, dry matter, essential and non-essential amino acids for all major feed ingredients – and AMINOSys® – which comprises consulting, hardware and software solutions for micro-ingredient handling and dosing in feed mills.

Delegates can learn more about the forthcoming opening of the new Evonik MetAMINO® plant in Singapore as well.

Evonik is also a sponsor of the 6th Global Feed and Food Congress (GFFC) which brings together leaders from the global feed and food chain in Bangkok from 11 to 13 March.
