Hybro wins new GPS contract in North Korea
THE NETHERLANDS - Dutch broiler breeding company Hybro BV has finalised discussions to sign a new contract with a leading poultry integration in North Korea, for the delivery of Hybro PN grandparents.
Hybro made its first delivery of grandparent stock to North Korea at the
end of 2003. These initial test flocks have demonstrated outstanding
performance results entirely in line with Hybro’s predictions, as a
consequence the first GPS delivery under this new agreement will be placed
in September this year, with subsequent deliveries every three months for
the next three years.
Wilfred Folkeringa, international sales manager for Hybro: “It is unique
for a west European company to deliver grandparents to North Korea”, he
says, “and there is no doubt that this cooperation with one of North
Korea’s leading poultry integrations is yet another important step in
[Hybro’s] plans to grow in this attractive market.”
Mr. Hong Chun Won, the Chairman of the North Korean company, says of the
agreement: “We began to work with Hybro in 2003, and in addition to the
Hybro PN’s performance, we have been most impressed by the levels of
technical service offered by Hybro. We are confident that this new
agreement will again bring us many benefits.”
Technical service will be provided by Hybro’s Beijing office in China, led
by Mr. Ma Chuang.
