Print This Page New proposals on egg crisis
AUSTRALIA - South Australian egg producers met yesterday to draw up a new proposal to take to Premier Mike Rann.The SA Farmers Federation secured a meeting with Mr Rann last week to discuss the state's struggling egg industry. However, concerns were raised that some local producers would be excluded.
Mr Rann will now meet this week SAFF and non-SAFF egg producers, including Golden Eggs managing director Mark Bressington and Valley Poultry spokesman Carol Copeland.
Producers will meet again today with Independent MLC Nick Xenophon to further discuss the proposal.
