Print This Page Iraq to Import Iranian Frozen Chicken
IRAQ - Iraq's Agriculture Ministry has authorised the importation of frozen chicken from Iran, according to the IRNA news agency.
The Ministry says that Iraq will import a total of 40,000 tons of frozen chicken from various countries, including Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil and Thailand.
These imports follow a period during which the Iraqi government banned poultry imports from neighbouring countries because of the threat from avian influenza.
