Iran, Iraq sign agreement on veterinary cooperation

IRAN - Head of Iran's Veterinary Organization Hossein Hassani conferred on Sunday with his Iraqi counterpart Davoud Mohammad Sharif on expansion of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on expansion of mutual cooperation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is to broaden veterinary cooperation with Iraq, Hassani said.

Davoud Mohammad Sharif leading an Iraqi delegation arrived in Tehran to inspect the country's capabilities in veterinary field.

During his inspection, he expressed satisfaction with recent scientific progress made by Iran in controlling cattle and poultry diseases.
