Subsidies Not Yet Paid to Poultry Breeders
MALTA - Eight poultry breeders have filed judicial letters against Rural Affairs and Resources Minister, George Pullicino, claiming the government had failed to pay them the subsidies they were due.

MALTA - Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries Francis Agius yesterday distributed financial aid to poultry producers, amounting to Lm38,180 (e88,935.48) for broiler producers and Lm127,341 (e296,624.74) for the layers sector.

MALTA - During the third quarter of 2006, total meat production in Malta dropped by 16.8% in comparison to the same period last year.
