Comparison of Top US Exports of Mechanically Separated Chicken (MSC) by Volume (Metric Tons (MT)) from January- November in 2010, 2011, and 2012

Based on data, US exports of MSC (HS1602320035) from January- November of 2012 totaled 35,709 MT, 25% lower than in 2011 (47,654 MT) and 33% lower than in 2010 (53,649 MT). In November 2012, the US exported 3,421 MT, 39% higher than October 2012 (2,455 MT) and 30% lower than in November 2011 (4,900 MT).

US MSC exports increased from January-November 2011 to 2012 into the following countries: Philippines (+38%), Mexico (+81%), Trinidad and Tobago (+92%), and Taiwan (+175%). In contrast, exports of MSC declined from January-November 2011 to 2012 into the following countries: Guatemala (-5%), Dominican Republic (- 57%), Colombia (-54%), Honduras (-16%), Panama (-24%), and Jamaica (-3%).

The US exported a total of $28,066,000 worth of MSC from January- November 2012, 15% lower than 2011 ($32,882,000) and 14% lower than 2010 ($32,565,000). In November 2012, the US exported a total of ($2,454,000), 35% higher than in October 2012 ($1,814,000) and 24% lower than in November 2011 ($3,208,000).
