Shell Eggs Broken Down 2 Percent from Last Year

April 2015 contained 22 weekdays (including 0 holidays) and 4 Saturdays.

Shell eggs broken totaled 182 million dozen during April 2015, down 2 percent from April a year ago, and 1 percent above the 181 million broken during the previous month.

During calendar year 2015 through April, shell eggs broken totaled 734 million dozen, up 4 percent from the comparable period in 2014. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2015 was 954 million pounds, up 4 percent from 2014.
