Shell Eggs Broken Down 2 Percent from Last Year

June 2014 contained 21 weekdays (including 0 holidays) and 4 Saturdays.

June 2015 contained 22 weekdays (including 0 holidays) and 4 Saturdays.

Shell eggs broken totaled 192 million dozen during June 2015, down 2 percent from June a year ago, and 16 percent above the 166 million broken during the previous month.

During calendar year 2015 through June, shell eggs broken totaled 1,092 million dozen, down slightly from the comparable period in 2014. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2015 was 1,411 million pounds, down 1 percent from 2014.
