Several staff members are making internal moves and there is one new appointment as Aviagen makes a further investment in customer service within the region.

Juan Diez, who has been with the company for six years as Sales Manager of Central America and the Caribbean will maintain this role but has relocated to Medellin, Colombia with the aim of improving customer contact in the region. He continues to report directly to Ullrich Koehler, Business Manager for Latin America. The relocation demonstrates Aviagen's commitment to providing the best sales service throughout the world.

Ricardo Valle was named Regional Technical Manager for Latin America. He has agreed to expand his role and combine responsibility for both Latin America and the Brazilian technical teams. Mario Padron will continue to service customers in the region while concentrating exclusively on key accounts in Mexico and Chile.

Ricardo will be joined in his team by new recruit Angel Salazar who will be taking over Ricardo's current responsibility of overseeing the technical service in Central America and the Caribbean. Angel joins from Chick Master and brings with him over 20 years of experience in the poultry industry. Angel has a degree in Poultry Science and Aviagen is keen to use the wide range of skills he has accumulated.

Ullrich Koehler said, "As the business grows, we want to dedicate more and more attention to each and every one of our customers and the way to do this is to bring in the best people. Angel's experience in the international poultry industry is near un-rivalled and together we can continue to develop and improve the services we provide to those customers."

Angel Salazar added, "Aviagen's operations in Central America and the Caribbean have seen considerable growth over the past couple of years and I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a part of it. Along with Juan Diez, I am confident that we can continue to build upon the company's already solid reputation and to develop the business in this region even further."

Everyone has now taken up their new roles and will be meeting with all their local customers and partners in the near future to explain their new roles and make introductions. The appointments further underline the commitment to customer service Aviagen has made to Latin America.
