Bábolna with its 230-year-old animal husbandry traditions is the home of poultry breeding activity, recognised as world famous for more than half a century now. In recent years, the upgrading within the fields of infrastructure as well as of research and development the geneticists of BÁBOLNA beside TETRA layers, have developed the ELMA White and ELMA Brown hybrids.
ELMA hybrids have been developed considering today’s market expectations to adapt particularly well to the new environmental conditions caused by climate change, a factor having an increasingly significant impact recently.
ELMA selection focuses on fulfilling the dreams of all those involved in egg-production by developing the ideal layer hybrids characterized by outstanding egg production ability, maximal shell strength and egg quality, outstanding feed conversion, calm temperament, excellent liveability in both breeding and commercial flocks.
