Print This Page Ukrainian Poultry Production To Jump 20% in 2007
UKRAINE - Oleksandr Bakumenko, President of the Ukrainian Poultry Farmers Association, says that Ukrainian poultry meat production will increase by 20 per cent year-on-year in 2007 to 900,000 tons, according to Baltic Business News.Bakumenko said that poultry production is increasing in Ukraine because it is being put on a more industrial level as opposed to small-scale or individual production.
Production by individuals is stable at around 200,000 tons a year, whereas production by enterprises increased by 31.3 per cent year-on-year in 2006 to 550,000 tons.
Annual demand for poultry meat in Ukraine is estimated at around 600,000 tons.
