AZERBAIJAN - Local producers have recently cut chicken and egg prices in Azerbaijan while it is predicted that the prices will go further up, said Aydin Valiyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan Poultry Society. |

“It would be unfair to lay the blame on egg and chicken producers because of increasing prices of feeding. The Government has not considered our proposals to exempt feedings, food supplements and poultry farming appliances from Value Added Tax (VAT).
The price hike has caused closure of small poultry farms and 10-15% decline in production. It is expected that a decline in market supply will push the prices up,” he added.
