UK - Villagers have lost their fight against proposals to build a free range chicken farm despite council officers recommending refusal. The chicken farm row has come only a couple of months after a farmer dropped controversial plans for a 900-sow piggery in the wake of staunch opposition from residents in Pakenham and Great Barton.
