Poultry Litter Hearing Completed
US - The judge does not rule immediately on the state's request for a preliminary injunction.A decision on whether to halt the use of poultry litter as fertilizer in the Illinois River watershed is in the hands of a Tulsa federal judge now that a hearing on the matter wrapped up Wednesday.
U.S. District Judge Gregory Frizzell said he would issue a written order with "deliberate speed" following the hearing, which took nine days. It featured claims of "bogus statistics" and "junk science" from both sides.
