Aviagen Appoints New European Planning Manager
SCOTLAND - Aviagen has announced the appointment of Les Miles to the position of European Planning Manager.Les Miles will be based at Aviagen Ltd’s Edinburgh office and will commence his role on 29 September 2008.
He will work closely with the local planning teams within each of Aviagen's European businesses to coordinate sales and production volumes for the company's European business to meet customer needs and maximise utilisation in the short and longer term. He will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of consistent and accurate forecasting systems to ensure the appropriate availability of all Aviagen products.
Mr Miles has extensive experience in a variety of different industries, including poultry feed, food and commodities. He has also fulfilled a wide range of functional activities including procurement, quality, sales, logistics, planning and general management. His breadth of experience, gained across Europe and Asia, will enable him to bring strong analytical and problem solving skills to the role.
