Print This Page Bangladesh Reports AI Outbreak
BANGLADESH - The veterinary authorities have sent a follow-up report to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) regarding one further outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) of the H5N1 sub-type.
Bangladeshi authorities sent the report dated 20 November to OIE. It covers one outbreak of HPAI on a commercial farm of 1100 birds at Imam in Rajshani state in September 2008. The birds that had not died were destroyed.
The previous report was sent to the OIE was in June.
