Print This Page Low-Path Bird Flu Reported in Norway
NORWAY - The veterinary authority has reported to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) an outbreak of low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI).
The report, dated 5 December, covers a single outbreak of LPAI of (so far) unknown serotype in a non-commercial flock of hens and geese. The outbreak started on 17 November. All 50 birds on the farm have been destroyed.
The affected farm is in the region of Ostfold in the south-east of the country, near to the border with Sweden.
