Another Case of HPAI in Vietnam
VIET NAM - The veterinary authorities have informed the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) about one new case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).

The Follow-up Report (no. 23) is dated 30 December. It reports a further case of HPAI in Luong Son, Thai Nguyen City in Thai Nguyen province in the north of the country.
It involved 148 unvaccinated Muscovy ducks, most of which succumbed to the disease. The rest of the flock was destroyed. The H5N1 virus sub-type was confirmed.
