Print This Page FSA Release Progress Update on Feed Regulations
UK - The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has today published an update on the progress since January 2008 on the measures being taken to apply EU Regulation 882/2004 on official controls in the UK.According to the FSA, the latest update includes information on the review of the UK national control plan and the first annual report on its implementation.
It also provides an update on the proposed implementing rules for import controls for 'high-risk' feed and food products of non-animal origin, the Commission's 'Better Training for Safer Food' initiative and information about a study by the European Commission to evaluate the current arrangements in member states for collecting fees and charges for official controls under the framework laid down in Regulation 882/2004.
