US National Poultry Museum to Open on 8 May
KANSAS, US - The grand opening of the National Poultry Museum will take place tomorrow, 8 May 2009.The grand opening of the National Poultry Museum at the Agriculture Hall of Fame will be at 10:00 on Friday 8 May at the museum site, 630 Hall of Fame Drive, Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012.
Basehor Info reports that the poultry museum is an endeavour 15 years in the making. The initial exhibits were unveiled in 1994 with completion of a Hatchery Building within FarmTown USA – an early 1900s farm town constructed on the grounds of the centre. Since 1994, the focus has been on raising the funds necessary for additional exhibits, gathering artifacts and determining how to tell the rich and intriguing story of poultry under the banner 'Evolution of an Industry'.
