Next European Poultry Conference to be in France

FRANCE - The XIIIth European Poultry Conference will be held from 23 to 27 August 2010 in Tours.

The event is organised by the French branch of the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA) with support of the INRA, AFSSA and ITAVI.

The European Poultry congress organised every four years, addresses to all participants of poultry production and attract around of 1000 attendees from more than 70 countries. This inescapable meeting offers a great opportunity to meet experts from all over the world. It allows to have exchanges and to obtain the more recent information on the different aspects of poultry production such as biology and physiology of birds, breeding and rearing systems, nutrition, health, hygiene and food security, pathology, environmental impact, animal welfare, product quality, industrial processes.

Technical-economic domains and poultry education will be also presented. Each theme will have specific sessions organised around overview, oral communications, posters and plenary discussions.

In addition to the scientific programme, the WPSA will organize technical tours. A special programme for accompanying persons is also scheduled to allow them to discover Tours and its surroundings.
