OIE: Further HPAI Outbreak in Tripura

INDIA - A new outbreak of Highly pathogenic avian influenza virus has been reported to the OIE by Mr Rudhra Gangadharan, Secretary to the Government of India, New Delhi, India.

The new outbreak occurred on the 28 January at Mohanpur, Lembucherra, West Tripura.

Of 12,385 birds susceptible, there were 4229 cases which led to 4229 deaths.

The source of the outbreak is still unknown and the outbreak is still affecting a defined zone within the country.
