Dealer meeting at Vencomatic successful
THE NETHERLANDS - On December 1st , 2nd and 3rd, Vencomatic organized an international dealer information meeting at Centerparcs de Vossemeren in Lommel (B). One hundred and twenty four participants from all over the world attended the meeting.Besides the various Vencomatic related presentations, such as systems for laying hens and broiler breeders, a number of international guest speakers were also invited to give presentations.
The chairman of the meeting was Piet Simons. Gordon Butland, who held a senior position at Rabobank International for many years, presented his views on worldwide poultry production and the consequences of aviary influenza on the poultry production market.
Rob Renema, of the University of Alberta, Canada, spoke about the results of their recent research in the area of managing broiler breeders.
The new Vencomatic duck nest and the aviary rearing system were introduced to the dealers. Planned farm visits were cancelled because of the global threat of aviary influenza.
