Poultry Export Requirements

Eligible/Ineligible

  • Ineligible
    • Specific state restrictions:
      California – Poultry slaughtered prior to October 12, 2008 is eligible. Poultry slaughtered on or after October 12, 2008 and before February 10, 2009 is ineligible. Poultry slaughtered on or after February 10, 2009 is eligible.

Updated USDA FSIS Requirements to Export to the European Union (EU)

Processed Egg Products

  • Revised certification is required for product entering the EU after 15 February 2009.* See the Certification section.
  • Revised letterhead certification is required for product transiting the EU after 15 February 2009.*

Certification

Revised letterhead certification is required for product entering the EU after February 15, 2009. Veterinary Certificate for egg products consigned to the European Community is available in English, Bulgarian, French, German, Lithuanian, Romanian, Greek, Italian, Netherlands, Polish, and Spanish.* See guidelines to complete the letterhead certificate.*
