Citing Yerkir (Country) daily, the ARKA news agency reports that Mr Sarkisian owns also Getamej poultry farm. The deal was concluded several days ago.

The daily says last summer's unexpected drop in prices of eggs, followed by their shortage ahead of New Year festivities and a series of sanctions slapped by the State Commission for Protection of Economic Cooperation on this company seem to have reached a logical end.

The Lusakert poultry farm is one of the largest egg and chicken meat producing companies in Armenia holding about 20 per cent of the local market, according to ARKA.
