RUSSIA - Poultry meat output is forecast to be more than seven per cent higher this year than in 2011 and per-capita consumption may reach 30kg by 2020, up from 24.6kg last year.

Russia’s poultry output may rise 7.2 per cent this year to 3.4 million metric tons this year, according to Bloomberg, citing a report from Interfax.

More than half of the country's leading producers are planning to operate at full capacity, said Galina Bobyleva, head of the country’s Union of Poultry Producers.

Output was 3.17 million tons in 2011 and may reach 4.5 million tons in 2020, she said.
