The visit provided a great opportunity for the customers to become more familiar with the Aviagen organisation and its European operations which are based in Edinburgh.

The guests were given a presentation on Aviagen Ltd, highlighting the on-going investment in research and development as well as bio-security along with its leading network of production and hatchery facilities throughout the greater European region.

A visit to a UK customer followed with the majority of time devoted to visiting flocks in rearing and production together with an extensive tour of the hatchery.

Larry Blackstone, Ross Technical Service Manager in Asia commented: “The visitors I have been with have been very complementary regarding their visit to the Aviagen office and the special effort made by all involved to allow them to more familiar with the company. The customer visit in the UK was especially helpful and an excellent opportunity as it set the stage for a very open, two way exchange of information which we hope benefited both parties.”

Attendees were: Mr Yamashita (General Manager of the Production Department), Mr Kyutoku (Manager of the hatchery), Mr Haraguchi (Manager of the PS farm), Mr Mitsuru Kondo (Manager of the Meat Business team, Feed & Meat Business Unit, Foods Division of Mitsubishi Co. Ltd) and Yasuyuki Tanaka (Senior Technical Manager, Nippon Chunky Ltd).
