The project, delivered by Pas Reform do Brasil, has included the installation of SmartSetPro™ setters, SmartHatchPro™ hatchers, a SmartCenter™ hatchery information system and climate control for the newly expanded hatchery, in a region that averages almost 600 metres (m) above sea level.

These latest incubation systems enable Granja Pinheiros to finely control critical parameters, including temperature, relative humidity and static pressure throughout the hatchery complex.

According to Maikel Kronhardt, Granja Pinheiros’ Technical Coordinator: “Installation and start-up ran on time and on budget, with Pas Reform’s team and our own technicians working collaboratively throughout, to ensure that the transition went smoothly and that we were fully familiarised with the new technologies.”

“The SmartSetPro setters are already at work and operation has been exemplary. SmartCenter's remote access capabilities mean that our technicians can monitor and manage all the incubation and climate control (HVAC) systems at any time, at every stage of the process.”

Dr Lenise Souza, Pas Reform do Brasil’s specialist incubation veterinarian and technical coordinator of the Granja Pinheiros Project, emphasized: “[Pas Reform’s] work will continue, to provide monitoring and support for all incubation cycles and hatches during the start-up period.

“Additional training will also be provided, including Pas Reform Acadamy incubation workshops, which began in June to support the start-up of operations,” she said.
