According to WPSA, in recognition of the remarkable efforts of Professor Dr. H.M. Hafez in initiating and sustaining the International Symposia on Turkey Health and Production, the attendants of the 9th International Symposia on Turkey Health held in Berlin in June 2012 voted unanimously to rename the Symposia as:

• Hafez International Symposium on Turkey Health, and
• Hafez International Symposium on Turkey Production.

This will be effective with the next symposia beginning in 2013.
