The Sussex County Board of Adjustment earlier this week voted in support of a land exemption that will pave the way for a new poultry processing plant in Millsboro, reports WBOC.

After the Vlasic Pickle Plant closed last year, many people were wondering what would take its place.

Now, Allen Harim Foods is a little closer to opening that chicken processing plant. However. some neighbours say they want the jobs that will come with the new plant but not the pollution.

There are still several more permits and hearings the Allen Harim Company must go through but the group hopes to open the plant by the middle of 2015 or January 2016.
