Ukraine Ag Exports to Bangladesh Skyrocket

UKRAINE – A nine-fold increase in Ukraine's agricultural exports to Bangladesh has been reported owing particularly to growth in poultry, dairy and confectionery produce.

This is according to the minister of agricultural policy and food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk on his return from a meeting with the Bangladesh secretary of state for Commerce Mahboob Ahmed.

He also described the possibility of increasing grain supplies to the Bangladesh market and stated that trade was on the up which had seen this year's export figures rapidly overtake levels in 2012.

“I have noticed the positive dynamics of cooperation between Bangladesh and Ukraine,” said Mr Prysyazhnyuk. “This has been seen in the increase of export values to the country to reach almost $50 million worth for the first eight months – this is $42 million higher that all of last year.”
