With a focus on data analysis, the module saw 22 members of the Aviagen® global technical support team gather together to hear about the latest developments on everything from research & development to ventilation, nutrition and health.

There was a highly interactive element to the training, with teams tasked with analysing broiler data case studies using their variety of different skills, qualifications and experience. Each team then had to produce a presentation outlining the issues and their technical strategy. The winning team comprised of André Costa, Luis Pachon, Juan Jativa, Ni Leksrisompong and Rodrigo Tedesco.

The module also included sessions at an Aviagen trials farm and the Veterinary Laboratory, where practical, hands-on workshops were undertaken.

Nick Spenceley, School Director, said: “This is the second time we have held this event and once again the feedback has been extremely positive. The ability to share experiences from around the globe and discuss the best ways to support customers with specific concerns or challenges within their markets is critical to providing the high level of service our customers expect.

“With representatives from Russia, Columbia, Germany and Turkey, to name just a few, it was like the World Cup of the poultry industry, with a multitude of nations and languages represented on one level or another. Everyone in the team is looking forward to getting back out in the field and sharing what they learnt with their customers.”

The week-long event even included finance guidance on efficient broiler growth as well as IT and presentation training.

It shows how committed we are, not only to delivering a market leading product but also to providing world class support in our local markets.”

Juan Antonio Játiva from Aviagen S.A.U. in Spain, who attended the event, commented: “The course was very interesting and being able to share ideas and knowledge with colleagues from different countries was hugely beneficial. The data analysis and processing using pivot tables was one aspect in particular I learned the most from and something I can take away and use for my customers.

“The module was also a great way to build relationships with colleagues from other countries and it was a great experience working on the various projects with them.”
