Novus will be among the more than 850 scientists, extension specialists, educators, producers, students and administrators that will be participating in scientific sessions, symposia, networking and social events. Novus scientists will be presenting new groundbreaking research on enzymes and pigments as part of the scientific sessions. A longtime supporter of the PSA and the scientific community as a whole, Novus is demonstrating that support with a Gold-level event sponsorship.

“As a company that is rooted in science, Novus looks forward to attending and participating in this annual event that brings together individuals from all facets of the poultry industry,” notes Dr. Chris Knight, senior vice president, products and solutions and chief innovation officer at Novus. “Through science, the poultry industry has the opportunity to learn from one another. This ongoing exchange of information allows us to continue to provide more efficient and productive solutions for the customers we serve.”

Novus is hosting a customer delegation from the Philippines at PSA, providing them a unique opportunity to experience this event firsthand. The company is excited to present its latest research and findings on topics relevant to the poultry industry through a series of four oral abstract presentations and one poster presentation.

Novus’s first oral presentation will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 3:15pm. Dr Frances Yan will lead a discussion entitled, 'Effect of protease on growth performance and carcass traits of broilers fed diets with different crude protein levels'.

Additional abstract presentations are scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday 15 July, 3:30pm: Dr Frances Yan 'Effect of dietary protease and NSP enzyme on growth performance and carcass characteristics of broilers'
  • Wednesday 16 July, 3:15pm: Dr Marta Blanch 'Effect of two marigold-based yellow pigments on chicken pigmentation'
  • Wednesday 16 July, 3:45pm: Dr Juxing Chen 'Effect of trace minerals on the development of bacterial chondronecrosis with osteomyelitis in poultry'
  • Dr M.K. Manangi’s poster, 'The efficacy of a next-generation microbial phytase on apparent ileal amino acid and crude protein digestibility in broiler chicks fed non-phytate phosphorus-deficient corn-soybean meal based diets', will be available for viewing on Monday 14 July from 5:00 to 6:30pm.

Novus is also continuing its annual tradition of honoring the work of an outstanding teacher and an outstanding scholar for their efforts and commitment to poultry industry, both in and outside the classroom. More information on the winners will be released at a later date.
