The focus of the meeting was a celebration of success but with a careful eye on the future with performance potential high on the agenda.

John Stamoulis, General Manager of Kego welcomed the guests back to Ioannina where the Ross bird was introduced to the Greek market some seven years previously.

During the seminar, Lorenzo Rossi was announced as the new Technical Service Manager for Greece taking over from Lindsay Broadbent who retired after a career spanning over 29 years. Lorenzo is an experienced Technical Service Manager from Italy, who supports Aviagen Italia customers, and who was already a member of the Western European Technical team led by Alan Thomson.

Mr Thomson commented: “The Greek market has done very well throughout a challenging few years. What we have shown is we have a robust bird that produces great performance and feed conversion.

“This seminar was not about the past though, it was about the future. We thank Lindsay for his hard work and dedication and welcome Lorenzo who will surely fill the role with the same drive, dedication and expertise he has shown our Italian customers.”

He spoke at length about the technical support available to customers and how the constant work in research and development can ensure our customers get the best economic performance from their birds for years to come.

Mr Thomson’s words were echoed by Graeme Dear, Managing Director of Aviagen UK Ltd who highlighted the on-going product performance developments which have really added value to customers’ businesses since Ross arrived in Greece.
