The conference, set to take place in Arlington, Virginia on 9 and 10 December will focus on regulatory and policy trade requirements and updates for feed, feed ingredients and pet food.

The early-bird registration runs until 10 November.

The seminar will offer an array of speakers from the federal government including the Office of the United States Trade Representative, the US Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and Foreign Agriculture Service, and the US Food and Drug Administration to address current feed industry trade constraints.

FAS Administrator Phil Karsting will keynote the event speaking about "Linking US Agriculture to the World."

"The Import/Export Seminar is tailored for anyone in the industry responsible for the importing and/or exporting of products for their company and those interested in learning about the varying agencies that represent the US feed industry's interests abroad," said Gina Tumbarello, AFIA director of international policy and trade.

AFIA has hosted the Import/Export Seminar every other year since 2010.
